How the Navasakam Survey is Conducted
To ensure that the right beneficiaries receive the benefits of government schemes, the Navasakam Survey follows a well-organized step-by-step process. Here’s how it works:
- Survey Planning by Volunteers
Local volunteers begin by creating a detailed schedule to survey the households in their assigned areas. - Advance Notice to Families
Before visiting, volunteers inform families in advance about the date and time of their survey. - Daily Coverage Goals
- In rural areas, each volunteer aims to visit 5 households per day.
- In urban areas, they plan to cover 10 households per day.
- Door-to-Door Visits
Volunteers go door-to-door with a pre-filled datasheet and survey form to collect accurate information directly from the residents. - Eligibility Verification
They carefully explain the available government welfare schemes and check whether the family qualifies for any of them. This helps in identifying genuine beneficiaries. - Monitoring the Process
The MPDO (Mandal Parishad Development Officer) or the Municipal Commissioner takes charge of overseeing the entire process and ensures that everything runs smoothly and fairly.
