UGC NET Syllabus 2024

UGC NET Syllabus 2024 for (Paper 1)
The UGC NET Paper 1 syllabus includes subjects that will assist candidates evaluate their teaching and research abilities, cognitive abilities, and general understanding of teaching and learning processes in the higher education system. The 1 paper has 50 questions of 2.2 marks each.
Unit 1: Teaching Aptitude Syllabus
- Teaching concepts, objectives, levels of instruction (memory, comprehension, and reflection), characteristics, and basic requirements.
- Learner characteristics include adolescent and adult learners’ academic, social, emotional, and cognitive characteristics, as well as individual differences.
- Teaching factors include the teacher, the learner, support materials, instructional facilities, the learning environment, and the institution.
- Teaching methods in higher education institutions: teacher-centred vs. learner-centred; offline vs. online (Swayam, Swayamprabha, MOOCs, and so on).
- Teaching Support System: Traditional, Modern, and ICT-Based.
- Elements and types of evaluation, evaluation in a choice-based credit system in higher education, computer-based testing, and evaluation system innovations.
Unit 2: Syllabus for Research Aptitude
- Meaning, types, and characteristics of research, as well as the positivist and postpositivist approaches to research.

Unit 6:Logical Reasoning Syllabus
- Understanding the structure of arguments: argument forms, the structure of categorical propositions, mood and figure. There are formal and informal fallacies, Language applications, Terms’ connotations and denotations Classic oppositional square.
- Identifying and contrasting deductive and inductive reasoning.
- Analogies.
- Venn diagrams: Simple and versatile tools for determining the validity of arguments.
- Indian logic refers to means of knowledge.
- Pramanas include Pratyaksha (perception), Anumana (inference), Upamana (comparability), Shabda (verbal testimony), Arthapatti (implication), and Anupalabddhi (non-apprehension).

Unit 7: Data Interpretation Syllabus
- Sources, collection, and classification of data.

UGC NET Syllabus 2024 (Paper 2)
The UGC NET 2024 Paper 2 will be based on the candidate’s subject selection. Paper II will also consist of only 100 objective-type questions (MCQs) worth 200 marks. The UGC NET Exam will cover 101 subjects. Candidates must choose one subject for the NET Exam, preferably one that they studied after graduation. The UGC Net 2024 City Intimation Slip.
The city notification is issued one week before the release of the UGC NET admit card 2024. The city intimation slip informs candidates about the exam city allotted to them. Knowing the exam city allows the candidate to make necessary travel arrangements to the exam city. The steps for checking the UGC NET intimation slip are as follows:

The UGC NET 2024 Admit Card
A week before the exam, the NTA releases the UGC NET 2024 admit card. It is only accessible to candidates who have logged in to the official website. Answer Key for UGC NET 2024
The answer key for the UGC NET 2024 exam is released following the exam’s completion. First, the provisional answer key is released, followed by the final answer key.
