SSC CGL Selection Process 2024
Two years ago, the selection process of the SSC was restructured toward using only two-tier exams in order to shortlist candidates for different Group B and C posts lying under the SSC CGL Notification 2024. Below is how the SSC CGL Examination for the year 2024 will be conducted in four tiers as shown:
Stage 1 Tier-I: Computer Based Examination (Passing in Nature).
Stage 2 Tier-II: in three years, the student must write paper 1 (at all events) and students he/she primitively did not apply for these positions; officials make paper 2 in the event of their application for posts of JSO in MOSPI.
• Roll numbers and Admit cards for attending the Computer-Based Examination (Tier-I) shall be allotted to all the candidates who have applied for the SSC CGL exam properly.
• There will be separate and category-wise shortlisting in Tier-II Examinations depending on the score of candidate’s tier I.
• Separate cut-offs will be released separately for Paper-II of Tier-II (i.e. for the post of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO), and for Paper-I of Tier-II (i.e. for all other posts).
• Tier-II exams are a must for every candidate who has qualified for Tier-I examination.
• During Tier-II exams all candidates must sit for Paper-I and Paper-II.
• However, only particular candidates shortlisted for Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) post will sit for Paper-II. Preference will be given, to the final selection list, upon the sole basis of performance in Paper 2.
SSC CGL 2024 Exam Pattern
The SSC CGL Tier 1 exam will be conducted by the Staff Selection Commission using the SSC CGL 2024 exam pattern as indicated in the official notification.
